The royal page, announcer, diplomat and adviser to the king stood in the Royal Balcony in the Spiral Gardens of Sumerton. The Royal Family stood behind him. "Let Queenstrial begin! May all Houses offer up a candidate."
Arabella prepared to watch the Queenstrial girls. She didn't care for Queenstrial, so she decided to watch the Houses.
A man wearing purple and silver from House Titanos stood up. "House Titanos gives Lady Alena Titanos to Queenstrial." he said with a bow. Alena stood up with confidence. She had a small smile on her pale face, and she gazed at the Royal Family with confidence. Her short black hair was very neat and fanned out behind her. She then gave a short bow and sat down.
The royal page snapped under his breath at the assistant. "Well? Did you write that down? What a lazy excuse for an assistant. NEXT!" he shouted to the crowd.

A tall man wearing electric blue, silver, and black stood. He bowed to the royal family and smiled. "House Aestarno gives Lady Jade Aestarno to Queenstrial," he announced formally, smiling at Jade as she stood, wearing an outfit of blue and black. The young girl smiled and curtsied politely to the Royal Family and then sat down, long brown hair bouncing slightly.
Mia watched carefully, observing each girl.

Arabella looked at the girl. She seemed nice. Maybe she'll win. Or at least something.

A tall, large man stood up. "House Nolle gives Lady Thaliana Nolle to Queenstrial," he said in a deep, rumbly voice. Lia stood, gave a warm, genuine smile to the royal family, did a small curtsey, and sat back down.

A short little man with no hair and a whisper of a goatee stood up. "House Iral gives Lady Rosaline Iral to Queenstrial," he said in a squeaky voice. A tall girl with very long, red hair stood up. Her eyes were very blue and she smiled flirtatiously at the princes. Then she sat back down.

A large, slightly chubby man draped in green and gold robes stood up and said, "House Welle gives Lady Ellie Welle to Queenstrial." A perky blond girl popped up, bounced down into slightly sloppy curtsey, grinned at the royals, and had to be forced down by a large woman (she wanted to keep curtseying). She waved enthusiastically at the princes.

Jade smiled. Maybe she had a slightly better chance than she had anticipated. There were 2 girls that seemed like they would be difficult to beat. She looked to the Royal Family, observing their reactions to each girl.

"As I believe that is all, would Ladies Alena Titanos, Jade Aestarno, Thaliana Nolle, Rosaline Iral, and Ellie Welle please prepare for the competition. We shall meet again after luncheon." the announcer guy said.
Arabella looked to her family. "May I go? Or should I stay and have luncheon with you," she asked them. She pulled her hair over one shoulder and began to use the air to push herself off the ground
Alena descended, walking towards the page. He nodded polietly at her and waited for the rest of the Queenstrial girls..
