Ana sat outside, breathing in the fresh(ish) air. A smile was upon her lips, and her light brown hair billowed like a sail in the wind. She saw a silver guard walk by and her blue eyes hardened, her smile faded. He looked at her like he was the most important person in the world and she was a filthy orphan, which was, actually, more or less true. Her parents had disappeared years ago: either dead or just sick of her. She didn't really care, she hadn't known them well enough to. But she did get sort of lonely. Looking out over the little town, she wished she had someone to talk to.

Robin walked up to her, a grim smile on her tan face. "Hey," the light brown-haired girl said calmly, sitting down next to her without waiting for invitation. "I'm Robin, you are" she said, turning deep green eyes on her. Pulling out a piece of wood, she put her hair in a ponytail and began to whittle.

"Ana," she said, smiling again slightly. Then, looking down to the wood, she said "what are you making?" Ana loved whittling as well, but found less and less time to do it now that she had begun practicing her cooking. Ana was hoping to become a chef's apprentice. All her life she had loved to cook. Even her earliest memories, the ones with faint traces of her parents, were of recipes and techniques and all sorts of other things. Now, she needed to truly train so that she could get a job. She had absolutely no interest in being conscripted, so she needed to work hard.

Robin turned to her an said, "Robin. Silvers eat this stuff up, paint it in god or silver or glass and sell it for half a fortune," Robin said, sneering at the thought of such useless ways to spend money. "I'm an apprentice to a woodcutter and his wife, they teach me to whittle," she finished. Even though she was only fifteen, this was her second year of being an apprentice.

The petite weaver apprentice approached the girls shyly, a small weaving project in hand. Colorful flowers leaped from the fabric in the sunlight. "Hello," she greeted softly.

"Hey. I'm Robin, as you might have heard. Name?" she said, turning her head to the petite girl.

"Elizabeth," she responded. "But my friends call me Eliza."

"Hey Eliza. What are you up to?"

She showed Robin her small piece of fabric, depicting a scene of a rose in front of a deep blue lake, the sun reflecting off of the water and onto the meadow. "I weave," she said simply.

Robin nodded. "Cool. I whittle," she said. The bird was half-done now.

Eliza admired the bird. "That's beautiful," she commented, nodding toward the wooden bird.

Chandler was just a girl. Just a boring, lowly, regular plain old red. Or at least that's what she wanted people to think. Under any other circumstances she might have been less, but life was different that it used to be. Chandler led a unique life; that's a life full of conections;Even she knew it was cheesy, but she was being watched. Had always been watched, only now she knew better. She could feel the eyes boring into her head, and they made her itch. It was as if the secret she held was under lock and key, only everyone knew were the key was, just not were the box was. She was the box. The silvers had the key. But she, she held the lock. so it was with this secret that she planned to go over to the gaggle of girls. but first, she decided to look in a mirror. she found one a few feet from the girls, on the dusty ground. she looked at herself, not surprised to see that she was ragged. her long red hair was up in a bun. it might have looked messy cute on anyone else. her blue dress was covered with soot and dirt, as was her pail face, arms, and legs. her freckles were speckled over with soot, making her face look like splat art. she shrugged and walked over to the girls. while they were here, she could only act normal. "hello! my name is chand...umm..." she had forgotten to come up with a code name before going undercover, so she was forced to think fast. "Olivia! yes, my name is Olivia."

Eliza raised an eyebrow at the somewhat uncertainty of one's own name. "I'm Elizabeth," she greeted politely.
