so it was that the two groups set off.
"here we are!"he sighed"who do we want to partner up with?" he asked. hudson might be an akward partner, and poppy seemed to shy. ella was nice, but seemed to innocent. and so that left kristen. he should get on good terms with her, so he figured now would be the time. "hudson, you partner with ella. poppy, you can shadow ella with hudson. ill go with kristen!" he stated.

Kristen was surprised that Locke had chosen to partner up with her. He didn't seem to particularly like her, but she didn't mind him, so maybe they could get to be more of friends then just associates. She sort of liked the idea, so she gave a small nod. "Okay," she said softly.

Kristen had been waiting for him to lead the way, but seeing that he clearly wanted her to do so, she strode forward, trying to appear more confident then she really was. Then she had an idea. She waited for Locke then looped her arm into his. Before he could say anything, she whispered, "don't worry. It's an act." A young couple would seem sweet and people might see them as more trustworthy that way. They needed that advantage.

hudson glanced over at ella and smiled. "you ready to do this?" he said. he didn't notice kristen and locke, which was probably for the better. he turned to poppy and shrugged. "you got any ideas?"

it was odd playing this act, but also fun. "ok!" he smiled nervously. "that man over there, with the green shirt. he look wealthy, and hes talking to that silver." he motioned for them to turn. "i may have to fake kiss you. i wont actually though..." he said

She almost laughed out loud when he said that. A few days ago she would've been horrified to see herself lying to silvers in order to find a potential criminal and fake kissing a guy she just met, but now it was just hilarious. "Ok," she said. She planned to act bubbly and dumb and like she was totally in love with Locke. She thought that could work. An idiot blinded by love wouldn't think anything of your secrets. Or so they would think. She let Locke lead her towards the man.

"here we go. im gonna spill some of my water" he said, grabbing a glass froma lady walking by. " and you and i can act all sorry." he finnished
the mn looked at the couple. most likely just wed. they wdere young, and looked so innoscent. he loved to wtch the young reds marrie and frolic, only to lose a child or even the husband to the war. the balance made him smile.
